  • In the year 2016*, The World’s longest banner will be unfurled with a vision to illuminate the world with education.
  • 6 25,000* PEOPLE with a pledge to support "Inclusive Education for a dynamic society and an equitable world".
  • 75* KM stretch for the guinness Book of world records.
  • 1.25* million HANDS will unite for a colorful tomorrow.

Why Education?

  • 31 million girls of primary school age are out of school. In the present Scenario, 17 million out of these would never enter school.(Source-UNESCO 2012)
  • If all women had a primary education, there would be 15% fewer child deaths. If all women had a secondary education, child death would be reduced to half, saving three million lives. (Source- EFA Global Monitoring Report Education Transforms)
  • Women's education contributes to a 43% of the reduction in child malnutrition over time, while food availability only accounts for 26%. (Source: FAO, Women in Agriculture: Closing the Gender Gap for Development)
  • Every additional year of education can increase a person's future income by an average of 10% in developing, low-income countries, (Source: Center for Global Development, "Education and The Developing World." CGDEV.Org. Accessed April 8, 2014)
  • One in five adults in the developing world – almost 862 million people – cannot read or write.
